Our client was selected to provide planning services for both potable and non-potable water systems within the premises of the Honolulu Zoo. The Scope included the condition assessment of the existing water system and the development of a master plan. Given the physical size of the project area, ControlPoint Surveying, Inc. was chosen to laser scan and obtain the topography of the area. The survey was to provide limited grade information, which included location of structures, trees, pavement, and indication of underground utilities from the surface (e.g. manholes, valve boxes, etc.). These were critical for the client to perform their assessment and develop their master plan.
