ControlPoint Surveying, Inc. was chosen by Honolulu International Airport to update the as-built floor plans for renovation and tenant improvements of the 2nd level Overseas Terminal.  Because of the on-going public traffic, focus was given to accommodate the DOT-A and tenant schedules.  To collect the data in secure and public spaces, we focused on Night to Morning work.  Coordinating access for all the tenant spaces proved to be challenging due to various schedules.  By utilizing laser scanning technology, we were able to quickly work in high traffic retail spaces between busy flight schedules.  The end deliverable is a new base map with option to upgrade to 3D BIM Model in various spaces.
