ControlPoint Surveying, Inc. was tasked to update the Architectural and Mechanical as-built plans for 3 vacant buildings and mechanical duct renovations.  In addition to the topographic deliverable was a BIM model deliverable showing architectural details, interior spaces, walkways, courtyards and HVAC duct lines.  A tight deadline was given with a focus on budget and accuracy. ControlPoint Surveying, Inc. utilized static LiDAR technology to gather 3 Dimensional data at various locations.  With the use of semi-automated software we were able to quickly and accurately 3D Model details from LiDAR collected data. The resulting deliverable shows examples of the degree of modeling provided as well as the combination of technologies, conventional survey, LiDAR data collections and 3D Revit Modeling.
